I live in Georgia. I am saturated with news about this incident. Her own statements are sufficient to reach a guilty verdict. She isn’t some 13 year old admitting to a crime after 17 hours of interrogation. She is proud of what she did. She is playing it is as a racial incident. And, she has a history of this sort of thing.

I have no qualms about reaching a conclusion based on the public information. This isn’t exactly an unexpected event with Ms. McKinney.

What is the trial for other than a show? I will assume she is guilty based on her own comments without the “presumed innocent” crap. I don’t have to assume anyone is innocent. Only the government does.

As for her avoiding the metal detectors, she is allowed to do that. Congress does like the special treatment under the law you know.

McKinney should be thrown in jail to send the message that no one is above the law. One of the biggest problems we have in this country is that we have become a nation that is controlled by the Rule of Men, not the Rule of Law. The jailing of McKinney both for striking the police officer and for evading the metal detectors will be a small step to returning to the Rule of Law.

Think maybe we could have a trial and a conviction first?
