That’s my point. When the Left talks about how the wealthy don’t “pay their fair share”, they never realize it is precisely because the system the Left has created is tailor made to manipulation by the wealthy.

You don’t fix that by creating a more progressive tax system.

THat is true Wulf. But, there are plenty of other wealthy folks (John Kerry’s wife comes to mind) who appear, at least to an outside observer, to know how to manipulate progressive taxation to their own advantage.

Don’t you ever wonder why the actually wealthy folks in this country don’t want to get rid of progressive taxation?

Have you seen Oprah’s recent comments on the guilt of the wealthy? I think the wealthy friend in her anecdote is one who would not want to get rid of progressive taxation. And I think too many wealthy Americans are like that.
