They believe in a system of socialism, where the means of production are owned by the workers themselves. Thus, if there are earnings, they're to be shared among people equally, not "stolen" by the CEO as "profits". Why do you think they're all for a "living wage"? They don't believe in markets, they believe in "fairness". They're not capitalists. That's why they don't "get it". Because profits are exploited from the worker.
