And like your neighbor, my house was targeted. Seems the sign we have had at the end of our driveway for the 15 years we have lived there wasn’t good enough. So the county wanted us to put the numbers on the house. Only one teeny tiny problem: our driveway is a fifth of a mile long so no one can see the house from the road. We even had a cop show up and it turned out he didn’t have a clue what the law said. As he pointed out, the numbers we pointlessly put on the house were “too small.” Needless to say, the pizza guy can find our house without a GPS system and correct size numbers on the house; I wonder why the emergency people can’t? Guess next time someone needs a trip to the hospital we should order pizza rather than call an ambulance. Just another example of the market upstaging government.
