Ron Paul On Morning Joe
by Doug MataconisRon Paul appeared on Joe Scarborough’s MSNBC show this morning. Unfortunately, since he was on Joe Scarborough’s MSNBC program, its likely that less than a million people actually saw him
Paul does well, as is typical. And Scarborough makes a comment about Paul surprising everyone in New Hampshire and refers to him as the next President of the United States. I wouldn’t rule out Paul doing better than anyone expects in New Hampshire, largely because that state’s primary usually produces one surprise or another. I’d be willing to lay odds against Scarborough’s second prediction, though.

Mataconis, RP is going to win Iowa and New Hampshire. And then the nomination, and then the presidency.
Wanna know why? Because he speaks the truth, and the American people have waited a long time for someone to do that.
Comment by Buckwheat — July 9, 2007 @ 12:55 pmIt’s hard to say what his chances are of winning. I’d just support him how we can. It’s too early to worry about victory and votes. It’s all about getting the message out.
Comment by TanGeng — July 9, 2007 @ 1:17 pmWeird, why didn’t I hear about this interview. I guess it was more of a sudden thing…GREAT interview in my opinion. Old School conservatives are slowly coming out of the woodwork on TV.
People who were the “94″ Republicans but are in the media so they have to be somewhat “cool” and supporting the war is NOT cool in most of the media, so they’re all excited to see a candiate who is a real conservative but who also takes an anti-war position.. ..
VERY interesting.

Comment by Drums of War — July 9, 2007 @ 4:12 pmI refuse to let the polls vote for me, I am voting for RP because he is the best candidate and can win.

Comment by jorge — July 9, 2007 @ 4:46 pmThanks for posting this interview I was not aware of it. Seems like he gave Ron Paul a very fair voice on the show.
Comment by Tony — July 9, 2007 @ 8:00 pmIt’s all about name recognition and he’s getting it now.
Keep on spreading the word.
Comment by NH — July 9, 2007 @ 8:07 pmI love this man!!! PAUL 2008
Comment by James — July 9, 2007 @ 10:40 pmYou know the best thing that has happened for Dr. Paul is people like George S. sticking their feet in their mouth. He has gained so much attention because of this, the Iowans for Tax Reform, and Rudy G.. He has sure done a good job of turning a possible negative into a positive throughout this early campaign. The biggest reason he can do this is that his message of freedom/limited government resonates with the people. Every time someone does this to him he gains more activists because they feel like their freedoms are being trampled on by these people and people like them.
Comment by TerryP — July 10, 2007 @ 12:29 amWay to show journalistic respect for our next President of the United States, Dr. Ron Paul. A President BY the People, FOR the People. FREEDOM in 2008 is spelled RON PAUL.
Comment by Jim — July 10, 2007 @ 1:16 amI am glad to see someone else shares my thoughts on George S. By making that rude comment, he helped our cause! Atta boy George!
This is my official “Atta boy” List:
Rudy Giuliani

Keep the STUPIDITY coming, we “the People” enjoy the outcome and success it brings Dr. Paul’s campaign!
If you support Ron Paul as I do, don’t be preoccupied with the results. I wiser fella than myself once said, “You don’t have to move the rock, all you gotta do is push.” Instead of trying your hand at being a political pundit, do this:
1) Put homemade Ron Paul signs on the roadside where you live.
2) Pass out flyers wherever you can.
3) Donate $$$, as well your time.
4) Make the necessary arrangements to vote in the Republican Primary in your state.
5) Put on ear muffs to avoid being psyched out by propagandistic memes being purveyed by Snuffalumpagus & his ilk.
Just hit it hard, let the chips fall where they may, & after this is all over we will be able to sleep well at night regardless of the outcome. One thing is for sure, Ron Paul has already done more for the soul of America than any of the carpetbagger establishment politicians who festoon themselves with American flags while they sell out the country while they are kissing babies.
Comment by Jerry Clower — July 10, 2007 @ 8:33 amFor those adherents that have noticed the dynamic of benefit from the establishment arrogance as demonstrated by the convenient list provided by Wanda, it might also behoove us to let it go unnoticed.
The CFR elites have also taken notice of this and are likely taking remedial action to proscribe any further ‘feet in mouth’ inflection by mainstream media…
Comment by Leland Thomas Faegre — July 10, 2007 @ 8:41 amThe reporter is very nice to Ron Paul. Maybe even too nice, so people who dont know Paul might not like it.
Comment by mo — July 10, 2007 @ 6:31 pmBe sure to NOT vote on electronic voting machines!! Otherwise, you may as well throw away your vote for RON PAUL.
Sad, but true.
