Which is why I don’t see things turning around for the Republicans before 2008…their leadership is full of bitter-enders who seem set on going down with the ship, and I just can’t see the GOP making significant changes going into an election year. It’s just not their style.

Looks like I’ll be voting third-party candidates this year.

Judging from the report, Iraq and the president’s strategy are circling the drain and if the Congressional Republicans don’t move to either bring Bush around (which admittedly isn’t very likely) or severely distance themselves from his policy a lot of them are going to get flushed out of office with him in 2008.
