		<description><![CDATA[I think you&#039;re right...he&#039;s been about as rabid with his support for the Iraq War as Bush or Cheney.  Which is why I don&#039;t see things turning around for the Republicans before 2008...their leadership is full of bitter-enders who seem set on going down with the ship, and I just can&#039;t see the GOP making significant changes going into an election year.  It&#039;s just not their style.

Looks like I&#039;ll be voting third-party candidates this year.]]></description>

		<description><![CDATA[I can understand why the Republicans would vote against a bill calling for an immediate withdrawal of troops, but I have no idea why GOP leaders like Boehner aren&#039;t rattling the president&#039;s cage right now on his Iraq policy.  Judging from the report, Iraq and the president&#039;s strategy are circling the drain and if the Congressional Republicans don&#039;t move to either bring Bush around (which admittedly isn&#039;t very likely) or severely distance themselves from his policy a lot of them are going to get flushed out of office with him in 2008.]]></description>
