You know Doug, after that marathon session about Paul and immigration last week I've come to the basic conclusion that some people are Ron Paul supporters because they study the issues, check the legislative record of the candidate, analyze the candidate's remarks on those issues to determine overall mindset, then choose Paul because he is the best candidate to represent the issues that they feel are important.

And some support Ron Paul simply because they're nutjobs who think Paul has some sort of magical powers to fix the world of politics on his own and they get irritated whenever somebody points out that he's got no more ability to do that than anyone else. Kind of like how religious fanatics get pissed off if you start asking logical questions that they can't answer.

You know, I’m beginning not to get you people.
This wasn’t a negative article. A little tongue in cheek ? Maybe, but what’s wrong with that ?
I respect Ron Paul, I like most of his ideas, what more do you want ?

The militant Ron Paul supporters will be his downfall unless they learn how to play the game, as repulsive as that may be. Short of a violent revolution, the system has to be changed from within. The neo-cons understood this. Study what savvy political leaders have done to infiltrate the system to change it.

He found this article by googling Ron Paul. It's pretty obvious to me now, because the article came out on google search yesterday. This proves something else to me- Doug wants to be someday seen as the "Ron Paul Expert" to the general public one day. If Ron Paul actually does well during this election cycle, foxnews or some other bullshit network might ask him on and he finally gets his little limelight or whatever. The thing is though, after the repeated hitpieces Doug has done, what would he say to the neocon interviewer? Obviously more hitpiece stuff. This guy is amazing; he really illustrates to me how garbage some people can be on a personal level.
