Why do we need God to bless capitalism? It seems to be doing quite well without any divine assistance.

I'll also point out that there's a disturbing boolean flavor to this item. It seems to assume that there are only two states of existence in the world: capitalist freedom and socialist slavery. The truth is, it's a continuum. You want to dismiss China as a socialist hell? OK, so what were they 20 years ago -- a socialist hell? The Chinese have changed in the last 30 years, and have increased the role of capitalism in their society. There is no purely capitalist country on this planet and there is no purely socialist country on this planet. Everybody -- EVERYBODY -- goes for a mix of the two. So the real question is, what's the ideal mix?
