Jeff Flake On Earmark Reform

Interesting, just as Flake calls for an Earmark moratorium, he gets cut off.
“The essential quality of a free economy is that it cannot be planned. It leaves the solution of problems to the inspiration of the individuals in the untrammeled population. When something approaching a free economy has existed, it has always worked better than the schemes of any planners.” Thomas H. Barber

Jeff Flake makes me proud to be an Arizonan.
Comment by Nick M. — October 31, 2007 @ 10:09 pmThis is a silly posting. He doesn’t get “cut off” – his time expires. Specific amounts of time are allotted to each party’s leaders and that time is divided among those who wish to speak. Exact amounts of time are yielded by party leaders, and when that time expires, the speaker shuts his hole. Rules like this are absolutely essential to keep a 435 member body in order.
