Milton Friedman wasn’t a radical, he was a genius. He understood that capitalism and small government was the ideal way to maximize the benefits in an economy. Any other way (socialism for example) pretends that the laws of economics don’t exist, but finds in the end that one cannot escape the need for freedom and choice any more than one cannot escape the laws of gravity.
Comment by david wilson — November 3, 2007 @ 4:46 pmI am also a huge proponent of Milton Friedman’s perspective. His “Free to Choose” series was such a breath of fresh air for me when it came out. Here is a link to a streaming video version of his series. I highly recommend it.
