This idea that non-residents could be arrested for circulating petitions seems wholly unconstitutional to me. My understanding of the 14th Amendment is that the states also have to abide by the Bill of Rights.

Paul Jacob has a newsletter constantly highlighting how much politicians HATE when ordinary people are able to call them out for what they do, or work around the legislative process through ballot initiatives.

Wouldn’t this fall under that whole first amendment right to “petition for redress of grievances”, or “peaceably assemble”, or something like that? Or does the Constitution not apply in the Sooner state?
