Ron Paul On Face The Nation
by Doug MataconisRon Paul appeared on Face The Nation this morning and got almost ten minutes of coverage — more than Mike Huckabee, who appeared immediately before him.
Here’s Part One:
And Part Two:
“There comes a time in the life of every human when he or she must decide to risk "his life, his fortune, and his sacred honor" on an outcome dubious. Those who fail the challenge are merely overgrown children, can never be anything else.” Robert A. Heinlein, Stranger in a Strange Land

I’m so glad they talk to Ron Paul like this. I mean, it sounds bad but all it does is:
1. Energize the volunteers to work even harder
2. Piss people off that the media is being so biased and they go and look at Ron Paul.
3. Makes the MSM less and less relevent every time.
As an organizer of a meet up group, my numbers jump everytime they treat Ron Paul like this
Thanks, MSM!!
Comment by Scott M. — November 11, 2007 @ 10:47 amRon Paul keeps getting better and better in these interviews. I love how he turned around the anti-this/anti-that question into being pro-freedom and pro-Constitution.
I also think it’s great how he’s putting the Iranian “threat” into perspective. Someone needs to take away the unfounded fears the neocons have been using to push us toward another needless war. The Democrats sure haven’t done anything to stop it.
Comment by Doug D — November 11, 2007 @ 11:06 amRon Paul on Face the Nation…
Congressman Ron Paul appeared on “Face the Nation” this morning. In recent weeks, the old media has been treating Dr. Paul with noticeably more respect than they used to. As you’ll see here, some of the questions have absurd premises, but they’re …
Trackback by Infrequently Asked Questions — November 11, 2007 @ 11:18 amI can’t believe this website is hosting this story. I really had Liberty Papers down as a REDSTATE type site. Glad to see a little open mindedness.
Comment by Freedom Junkie — November 11, 2007 @ 5:48 pmWhat ever gave you that idea Freedom Junkie? The general opposition to the Iraq War? The opposition to W’s spending and civil liberties track record? Oh, I know, it was the massive support for Dick Cheney, right?
Comment by Eric — November 11, 2007 @ 6:49 pmI know what it was! It was the complete opposition to the War on Drugs that convinced you that the Liberty Papers is a Red State Blog, right?
Comment by Eric — November 11, 2007 @ 6:51 pmI actually thought it was a very good interview. Sure Bob S. brought up a few things but that is what these type of journalists are supposed to do. He gave Ron plenty of time to answer the questions (unlike O’Reilly, Matthews, etc.) and Ron came up with very good answers, especially turning the anti around to pro.
I saw another interview on CNN that went very well as well. It seems to me the big fundraising day on November 5th has brought some credibility to the campaign as the media seems to be handling him with much more respect than they did not to long ago.
Comment by TerryP — November 11, 2007 @ 7:42 pmRon Paul is now polling at 7% in New Hampshire, ahead of Fred Thompson. The established GOP order may be about to get knocked for a loop, similar to what Reagan did to them in 76 and 80.
Comment by Eric — November 11, 2007 @ 7:47 pmI do not live in the US. I am not an American, but allow me to say that Ron Paul’s message is wonderful and refreshing. I really hope he does well.
