The blame for the subprime mortgage lending problem belongs 100% with the Federal Reserve and the fundamental structural flaw in the US monetary system. To place the blame elsewhere is misleading.

This is going to make Americans dumb, real dumb. The public will be as stupid as long as we can get away with it. The government is here to ensure that we can get away with any level of stupidity. So that’s it. People are going to be increasingly dumb.

God, Bush is such an idiot. Hey, smart businessman…good job watching the trends and making financially prudent investment decisions. Too bad for you that our president’s a “compassionate conservative” who thinks it’s the government’s job to save stupid people from the consequences of their actions, so you’re pretty much screwed.
