Gravel is a nut. Is he still around? Kucinich scares me just as much as, if not more than, John Edwards. And I'll agree that although I do not agree with Paul on every issue, he's the best candidate I've ever seen (although I am only 21).

FreedomDemocrat,

Well, it certainly ain't gonna be the Democratic Party.

Yesterday, I heard Bill Richardson --- who some people claimed is a Democrat libertarians could like --- talk about universal health care as a "human right" and brattle on about mandatory phys ed in public schools.

Ron Paul may be a Republicn gadfly, but at least he's a libertarian gadfly. In the Democratic Party, the gadflies (i.e., Kucinich and Gravel) are just more radical Socialists.

FreedomDemocrat,

To paraphrase Billy Crystal in The Princess Bride:

"The Republican Party isn't dead. It's just mostly dead."

Of course, given its current state, I wouldn't suggest trying to enlist its help storming the castle...

"Like it or not, if liberty minded Americans are going take over an American political party, they’ve really only got one choice."

Do you mean the Libertarian Party? Because you sure as hell can't be suggesting the Republican Party.

Gee, if I no nothing about something, I generally try to shut up about it. I don't broadcast it on the internet as some kind of truth. That is BS (blogger shit?).

Again, I expressed my opinion. You just disagree with it.

Your memory of the Kinnock incident is far different from mine, and I followed that election pretty closely.

No, like the time 20 years ago when in one of many speeches in a campaign he forgot to cite Kinnock (he had cited Kinnock in a plethora of other speeches from the campaign, but didn't ONCE) and Dukakis (sleazy politician) siezed on it and journalists (hack, ring a bell?) had fun with it.

And what did Biden do? Withdraw, with simplicity and honesty. Even the philosopher who wrote the book on Bullshit (forgot his name) said it was a remarkable example of anti-bullshit from a politician.

So maybe you should watch it when you make bs statements pretending to be fact.

"Biden responded by saying that he just shoots his mouth off without thinking. Yea, that’s what we want in a President."

I want a president who isn't afraid to speak his mind, but who has a record. Your characterization of the exchange is completely misleading, even Biden's opponents would agree with that. Every one of the so-called scandals involving Biden's mouth has been the irresponsible inventions of hack journalists and slimy politicians. Welcome to the group.

Jmai,

Again, it was a stupid question and I thought it was contrived. You disagree, that's fine.

Biden isn’t going to be President anyway.

Doesn't mean you should make stuff up about him; and I don't see any crystal ball on your site. None of the other candidates seemed to think his comments were contrived, in one of the few moments of consensus during the campaign. So take responsability for what you say.

You call it heart-felt, I call it contrived.

Did you actually listen to what he said about Indian people and 7-11 ?

It doesn't matter really, it was yet another stupid Carolyn Washburn question and Biden isn't going to be President anyway.

Do you like lying on your blog? Your characterization of Biden's answer re: race was not even in the ballpark of what he said. His answer was actually very genuine and heartfelt.
