Spitzer deserves to go down for the reasons Stephen mentioned and because of the incredible lack of judgment that he showed here.

I don’t think that prostitution should be illegal, but it is. By exposing himself to exposure (apparently many people at the Emperors Club knew who he was), he opens himself up to blackmail and puts the future of the State of New York in jeopardy.

Bad judgment combined with criminal activity ? Clear grounds for impeachment I would think.

I hope they throw the book at him and he goes to jail. The man is a megalomaniacal, power hungry douche.

Is there any doubt that if one of his political opponents had this scandal happen to them that Spitzer would use it to humiliate them and end their career?
