I don’t know why you’re shocked…he’s been saying this shit for years. It’s just that many of his critics are so elitist and condescending that they assume everything that comes out of his mouth is gibberish and that he doesn’t really believe the things he says because they believe he’s incapable of expressing himself. I long ago abandoned the idea that Bush doesn’t mean exactly what he says when he makes comments like this. It’s one of many reasons that I hate the fucking guy.

It’s also the reason that I believe that the problems with the Bush administration really haven’t had that much to do with Cheney, or Rumsfeld, or Gonzales…everything that’s been going on has been happening at Bush’s direction.
