From what little I have read, Root and Barr seem to be the frontrunners, but I honestly don’t know what is going to happen. My hope is the delegates choose a voice of reason such as Root or Barr.

If they choose Gravel, I will vote “none of the above” in November.

I’m thinking the front runner is Ruwart for the nomination. My impression is that the whackos are going to be out in force and Ruwart will be the last whacko standing until Root or Barr are eliminated and then the whackos will gang up on the survivor of Root-Barr.

I’ll pretty much settle for whatever I can get in the way of interviews. The Liberty Papers isn’t exactly C-Span :)

The candidates I want to interveiw the most are Wayne Allyn Root and Bob Barr.

I know Barr is a fan favorite here, but I’ve got to tell you, I’ve listend to some of the debates and interviews with W.A.R. and I must say that I am very impressed with him so far. Root deserves serious consideration.

I don’t see anything libertine about the Libertarian Party (though I’m sure the party is populated with such people). Libertine means doing whatever one wants without worry of the consequences. Libertarians in general (and the party platform in-particular) stress personal responsibility for one’s actions (i.e. while drugs, prostitution, gambling, etc. should be legalized, individuals who engage in these activities should pay any consequences and not expect other citizens to pick up the tab).

Perhaps the personal responsibility side needs to be stressed a little more than it has been but I disagree that the LP promotes a libertine philosophy.

Please ask how the libertarian party has influenced national legislation in the past decade, what tactics permitted these achievements, and what achievements and changes in tactics we can expect to see from the libertarian party in the future.
