Prescription drugs are more available and more widley abused than all other illict drugs combined. The Goverment will recognize marijuana just not in its natural form. They want to be able to package and label then put a price tag on it. Once 25 states have passed MMJ laws our goverment will change its tune and those who once were telling us to just say no will be screaming yes yes yes because now there is a profit to be made!!!!!!!!

Great post! Your comment about Mrs. McCain illuminates your point well.

I make this point often and in return I receive such irrefutable logic such as, “Well, all that means is that we should put murderers away for longer.” Fair enough – I tend to agree – but this response, of course, entirely misses the substance of the argument I’m advancing.

People respond without critical analysis to various pressing issues. From drug laws, to food production, to national security, reason, a much lauded although hardly employed tool of ours, gives way to the “way things just are.”
