It's nice to see guys like Dilo get some mainstream coverage, since these are certainly not mainstream ideas. Many just presume all founders were great on liberty and freedom. We can thank the likes of Hamilton and Adams for the slipper-slope of needing to demonstrate to government that we are worthy of our liberty.

Hamilton is one of the key men who betrayed the spirit of the Revolution in favor of a big government. I had come to that conclusion after reading A Leap In The Dark a few weeks back. I also ran into DiLorenzo's commentary on Hamilton over at Lew Rockwell's site (through the comments at Cafe Hayek).

Jefferson, Samuel Adams, and Patrick Henry were all anti-Hamiltonian. Madison, who worked closely with Hamilton drafting the Constitution, eventually soured on him as well. Hamilton had his finger on Washington's buttons, knowing exactly how to manipulate Washington into doing his bidding. John Adams-- the man who wanted our President to be called "Your Highness"-- was one of the few at the time who appeared to be on the same page.

All said, Hamilton was no friend of liberty, and no friend of the ideals that animated the founding of our nation.

That’s because Mika Brezhinski is an idiot, Joe Scarborough doesn’t know how to run a television show, and anything that includes Pat Buchanan is likely to be a disaster.

"No contest."
