Why bother?

I am not Don Quixote and I'll not tilt at windmills. For me, McCain and Obama are opposite sides of the same bad coin. I won't vote for either of them. Considering I have many small 'l' libertarian tendencies, that leaves Bob Barr. But who am I kidding, or anyone else for that matter, Barr is not going to win.

So come election day you'll not find me at the polls. Instead, I shall head to the pub. I'm sitting this one out.

TerryP:

I happen to live in a swing state (Colorado) and I have no regrets at all about voting for Bob Barr. I know that some would argue that a vote for Barr is really a vote for Obama. I disagree.

I do not support Obama's big government agenda.

I do not support McCain's big government agenda either.

Whenever one of these candidates win and supporters of these candidates look for others to blame as we lose more and more of our freedoms, I'll look at them and say "Don't blame me, I voted Libertarian!"

Good, now we have at least two votes for Bob Barr and more importantly the Libertarian Party and even more importantly for Liberty in general.

Hopefully the LP party can pull many more votes, especially in those states where a vote for McCain/Obama will not make any difference in the outcome of the state. The lesser of two-evils vote holds no water in those states as voting for the lesser of two evils still doesn't get you anything as the winner is already determined. In those states only a vote for a third party candidate will have a chance to make a difference for the future.

Doug,

I am more in favor of Ron Paul for President of the United States than Bob Barr, though I don't know that much about Barr. I realize that Ron Paul is not running any longer but I would like to know if both he and Bob Barr were running (somehow), who would you vote for?
