Um, are you implying that taking a collection of numerous individual free market transactions (the free market) and aggregating them somehow indicates a complex system?

I beg to differ but it (the free market) is still just a collection of numerous individual and simple transactions. The number of transactions does not speak to the complexity of a system. IE. It is SIMPLE system if it is any system at all.

And does not the term SYSTEM imply design or at least categorization?

Fantastic quote! That one goes on the wall-o-good-stuff.

Someone wrote in "That Book":

And he said unto them, Render therefore unto Caesar the things which be Caesar's, and unto God the things which be God's.

Socialists tend to see a majority of our life's effort as "things which be Caesar's". Intelligent Designers tend to see our lives themselves as "things which be God's".

Yep, this'll make me lots of nice, happy friends at the next party I attend ;-)
