But, there is one way, a much better way to ensure newspaper survival: stop lying about being "objective." <i>The Nation</i> and other "partisan" media outlets will easily survive; why do we need <i>The New York Times</i> pretending to be objective when conservatives can get news from a source they trust, liberals can get news from a more leftist publication, and libertarians can go to Cato and get commentary from their perspective. We don't need these wide, one-size-fits-all newspapers when their main selling point is telling facts. Facts are commodities; it is commentary that sells and people will choose the commentary that openly slants to their opinions. This guy is nuts.
