Thoughts, essays, and writings on Liberty. Written by the heirs of Patrick Henry.

“Shake off all the fears of servile prejudices, under which weak minds are servilely crouched. Fix reason firmly in her seat, and call on her tribunal for every fact, every opinion. Question with boldness even the existence of a God; because, if there be one, he must more approve of the homage of reason than that of blindfolded fear.”     Thomas Jefferson

Quote Of The Day

by Brad Warbiany

TJIC, riffing on the Boston Globe, as the Globe writes an alarmist tale of the “crisis” of young Americans:

The average college graduate has nearly $20,000 in debt.

Oh noz! The average salary for college graduate jobs is $46,000. So, that’s almost five whole months of income to pay off the debt!

My thought? $20K in debt with a $46K income makes them a lot better off than our federal government!

  1. $20,000? I wish my student loan debt were that low!

  2. We can add another $30,000 and growing for their share of the national debt, which they’ll eventually pay in taxes, or decreased dollar buying power.
