Nope, sorry, you can't blame her attitudes on the GOP, nor on the DNC, either. She's just plain crazy. She want's kids, but only when they are small and cute and cuddly. Once they start walking, she's not interested any more.
Republicans have never had any but lip-service for "Free Market Principles". They are pure corporatists, and fully believe in socialism, the same as all of their corporate buddies. I believe the Founders recognized the necessary fact that a corporation - regardless of size - has to be run under sole-leader/socialist/oligarch methods, and strove to separate that socialist meme from our political venue. I believe that was one of the main forces driving the Anti-Federalists, which thankfully gave us the Freedoms we use today.

When the going got tough, the Republicans abandoned free market principles and adopted the Democrat’s approach of bailing out businesses which were “too big to fail.”

The Republicans were never (in recent history, at least) the party of free markets. From letting Enron write our energy policy to giving no-bid contracts to Cheney's pals, they've consistently been the party of corporatism. Bush's "too big to fail" rhetoric was just verbiage: he was a corporatist before, a corporatist after, and a free-marketer never.
