I would certainly be scared if I had a job at a newspaper. Time to start polishing that resume.

You mention Detroit as one of the more liberal places in the country. It also has some of that “machine democrat” mentality. One of the representatives from Detroit did not even have a Republican challenger last November. They are not so socially liberal as economically liberal, especially in the city itself. I think the city of Detroit would collapse without federal entitlement spending.
