		<description><![CDATA[The $20 million in cuts is just from the union concessions they are seeking, I would assume that they are also cutting costs elsewhere to alleviate that $85 million deficit.  I would certainly be scared if I had a job at a newspaper.  Time to start polishing that resume.

You mention Detroit as one of the more liberal places in the country.  It also has some of that &quot;machine democrat&quot; mentality.  One of the representatives from Detroit did not even have a Republican challenger last November.  They are not so socially liberal as economically liberal, especially in the city itself. I think the city of Detroit would collapse without federal entitlement spending.]]></description>
