First, marriage is not a fundamental right. State-recognized marriage is a tool to benefit state interests.

Second, gay men have just as much a right to marry a consenting woman as heterosexual men do.

The libertarian philosophy ought to be not having the government&#039;s hand in marriage at all (i.e., no state-recognized marriage). It should be a private and/or religious affair with no tax ramifications.</description>
