Very well presented and thoughtful. Exactly when did people of color ever get their independence ? I think never.

Not only has that never happened, we are slowly joining our brothers of color in involuntary servitude. I agree that we all should declare our independence and throw off the yolk of tyranny and say "NEVER AGAIN"

Stephen,

I appreciate that. I missed the book forum, but did have the opportunity to get an advance copy of the book. I'll highly recommend it to anyone.

Great post Gordo!

Cato had a very interesting book forum with Judge Andrew Napolitano and his new book “Dred Scott’s Revenge: A Legal History of Race and Freedom in America .” They discussed a number of topics but one of the most interesting was libertarians and the issue of race. Napolitano pointed out that many of the first black civil rights leaders were quite libertarian in their views (the founder of the NAACP among others).
