Our President is going to order that one be built. I just know it. And I can’t wait.

And if it doesn’t happen, it will be the fault of naysayers, and liars, and those who want to do nothing. Like you. Well the time for bickering is over. Doing nothing is not an option. The time has come to “punch back twice as hard.” And we are not going to waste our time with those who have calculated that its better politics to just kill the perpetual energy machine. And this perpetural energy machine is not going to add one dime to the deficit. It is time to do great things. And that includes getting behind a machine that creates limitless energy while creating millions of green jobs and also lowers our sea levels. We are the change we’ve been waiting for.

I want free stuff. I love free stuff. If somebody else is paying for it, I don’t give a shit. It’s free for ME, baby. And that’s what matters, right? Rock on.

The Dems have firm and strong majorities in both Houses and have the White House. They can pass whatever they damn well please. Oh, except for those darn moderate “blue dog” dems who….dang it!!..are being forced to answer to the concerns of their employers (a/k/a the constituents who voted them into office) if they hope to remain employed.

Gosh – if only our President could be given more…uh…enhanced powers, to do what he wants to do and what he, in his wisdom knows is the best for all of us – you know, kind of like President Chavez has – we could finally get the sort of Change we deserve in this country!

We get fed this: “Instead of honest debate, we have seen scare tactics.”

A little while later — hmmm, who, pray tell, is the real scare-monger among us?:

“Everyone in this room KNOWS what will happen if we DO NOTHING. Our deficit will grow. (!!!). More families will go bankrupt. (!!!) More businesses will close. (!!!) More Americans will lose their coverage when they are sick and need it most (!!) And more will DIE as a result.”

Oh, I get it. CONFORM TO MY WILL NOW!!! RIGHT NOW!! Or people will DIE!!!!!

And this:

“There are also those who claim that our reform effort will insure illegal immigrants. This, too, is false – the reforms I’m proposing would not apply to those who are here illegally.”

This is a flat-out lie. The Democrats THREW OUT Republican-sponsored amendments that would have attempted to prevent illegals from being treated under the House version of Obama’s plan. It is not DESIGNED to apply to illegals, but since there is no mechanism in place REQUIRING legal residency confirmation, etc., everybody with half a brain knows that if Obamacare becomes law, illegals will receive benefits like those residing here legally. Obama knows it. The Dems know it. We all know it. So why not just be HONEST, instead of disengenous?

The key word here is REQUIRE. The employer is not REQUIRED to change your coverage, or drop it completely, but he will be at a disadvantage with any competitor that chooses to reduce insurance expense by dropping coverage. He doesn’t out and out lie, but he willingly ignores the consequence, and shrouds it in soothing eloquent phrases. You can drown in syrup as well as you can drown in vinegar.
