I had a discussion with three Ohio representatives yesterday and there are several bills currently in development that will negate the supreme court’s decision on Barberton vs. Jenney.

These would require that they have digital proof before issuing a citation. In a world where we are continually moving the “human factor” out of context it is only fitting we do the same in driving.

What’s next? Officers arresting ladies for prostitution, based on his “trained eye”? Maybe drug dealers, too? These judges should return their law degrees to the mail-order catalog they bought them from.

That has *long* been the belief of just about everyone inside and outside of Ohio.

I don’t have any data to back it up, but I’d be more surprised to find that it’s not true than to prove that it is.

Ridiculous… Thanks for the post.

Having lived in Indiana, and with several college buddies who grew up in Ohio, it was ALWAYS known as one of those states where you had to watch your speed.

Knowing the way they enforce their laws now, I can only imagine that this will make Ohio one of the worst states for drivers in the entire US.
