If we’re trying to find ways to improve our criminal justice system, it only makes sense to observe the results of other nations’ policies, especially with respect to decriminalization of drugs.

Another part that didn’t sit well with me was that the commission’s report is supposed to reach unanimous conclusions. With such a requirement, it seems unlikely that any sweeping changes will come about. I guess a little improvement is better than none at all.
