		<description><![CDATA[On a somewhat related topic, I foresee paper currency being phased out during my lifetime. Every financial transaction could then be traced electronically. It would be sold as a security issue (for example, drug dealers and financed terrorists could be tracked and stopped), but really it would just allow the IRS collect taxes on unreported income.  No longer could the neighbor boy mow a lawn for $20 without reporting it, and bartenders would not be able to under-report cash tips.  Maybe the UK law is just a step in this direction.

I hope this post doesn&#039;t give politicians any ideas--then it might become a self-fulfilling prophecy.]]></description>
