I’m not flying on that day, but I believe my strategy from this point forward (as a frequent flier) will be to opt-out if selected for the scanner.

I’m not really that worried about the scanner (i.e. the radiation), nor am I really that worried about some TSA lackey seeing my naked silhouette — I’m not famous, so there’s no money to be made from it.

The question is really who is more demeaned by an “enhanced pat-down”, me or the TSA agent? I think the agent.

Especially if I ask him “Hey, can you check for any cancerous lumps down there? Ever since Obamacare passed, I can’t afford doctor visits.”
