Obama may be a lousy president but he’s a great speaker and a formidable campaigner. He is also counting on the class warfare rhetoric resonating with his base (which is getting wobbly IMO) and economically illiterate independents (i.e. those who think that closing tax loopholes for oil companies, changes in the tax code concerning corporate jets, and raising the taxes on “millionaires and billionaires” – as if they were one and the same, will turn the economy around). He’s also hoping his friends in the MSM won’t challenge any of his claims (ex. This bill is fully paid for).]]></description>

		<description><![CDATA[I agree with everything you posted. The only thing I might add is that it is a no-brainer strategy for Obama. If the Rs sign on and the economy continues to get worse (the mostly likely happening regardless whether the bill passes or not) then he can say that Rs agreed it to have been the best approach. If some recovery happens all he has to say is that it was his bill that did it.]]></description>
